Hibiscus Chai (Mock Mulled Wine)

INGREDIENTS

1 quart 50/50 mixture of Hempress Chelsea Chai and Queen of Earl
24 oz sorrel juice
1 oz hibiscus
5 cinnamon sticks
5 allspice pods
10 cloves
Fresh ginger
Cracked black pepper

 PREPERATION

Prepare tea: Use 6 grams Chai and 6 grams Queen and 32 oz hot water. Let steep until cool.

Prepare sorrel juice: On stovetop, add 1 oz hibiscus flower, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, and ginger, 1 cup sugar and 32 ounces water. Simmer until reduced by 25% or until you achieve desired flavor, then strain. Add tea blend and sorrel to a hot pot or stovetop, add cracked black pepper and serve warm.

You can also shake it with ice and served chilled and topped with ginger beer.
